Children's Liturgy

CHILDREN’S LITURGY AT ST MARK'S CHURCH:

Start date in Term 1 (Sunday 4/2/2024) at the 9.30am Mass. This program is aimed at school aged children Prep- Grade 6. If you would like to join the team or are interested in finding out more, please contact the parish office on (03) 9547 4777 and leave your name, phone number and email address.

St Mark's Children Liturgy celebrates and reflects on the Sunday Gospel reading in an age-appropriate way. The children are led through prayers, songs and readings that are adapted to their level of understanding. Attending Mass together is a part of being a Catholic Family.

The Children Liturgy Leaders help involve children, young people, parents in the life and mission of the Catholic Church through leading the children’s liturgy group and community engagement.

Children's Liturgy Leaders

CONGRATULATIONS to the new volunteers Olivia Simboh, Jessy D’Souza, Christine Alemao & Rizpah Perera, who were officially commissioned by Fr John on Sunday, 22nd June 2025. It was a lovely moment to officially welcome them to the team and pray for their ongoing guidance and that they flourish within this ministry.

The new Leaders will officially start next term. They were presented with a gift of the Finger Labyrinth to foster prayer, contemplation and spiritual transformation.

Please keep the whole Children's Liturgy team in your prayers as the leaders and assistants continue to teaching and guide of some of the youngest members of our parish community.
