Message from our Parish Priest
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. At Springvale Parish of St. Joseph’s Church, St. Mark’s Church and the Vietnamese Community, we consider the safety and well-being of all persons to be our highest priority. A culture of safety within the Church ensures that children and young people can actively and fully participate in the life of the Church and realise their potential in a faith community.
Clergy, employees and volunteers are committed to upholding all persons’ right to safety and creating a culture of safety supported by policies, practices and procedures that strive to prevent abuse in the first instance and to respond appropriately and effectively if abuse occurs.
Our Clergy, Safeguarding Team, Leadership Teams and volunteers have been inducted and have participated in the various Safeguarding training programs, which will facilitate clear behavioural expectations for the care and protection of children and young people.
